University Of The Third Age

U3A is an abbreviation for University of the Third Age, a worldwide organisation formed in France in 1972. Its aims are to provide educational and social opportunities in a friendly atmosphere for people over 50 who are retired or semi retired. U3A came to Australia in 1982 and U3A Southern Peninsula was established in 1989. It is one of the largest in Australia.

U3A SP provides courses and activities to stimulate the mind (head), develop skills (hand) and exercise the body (heart).

U3A SP currently has over 65 group activities, which cater for the needs of its 800 members.
